Twitter is thinking about a ‘edit’ button for tweets
Those who use Twitter know the irritation of not having an option to edit the tweets.
Well, it personally happens with me as whenever I accidentally make a typo mistake, I need to delete the whole tweet and write all over again.
But it seems that in 2017, twitter will bring the editing button, which will allow the users to edit their tweet.
However, it is not clear when the option will be available.
Actually, CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, asked the users about what ‘changes or new thing’ they want in 2017.
And a majority of the replies came asking for an edit button.
From official handle, he wrote “Following in the footsteps of Brian Chesky: what’s the most important thing you want to see Twitter improve or create in 2017? #Twitter2017”.
Jack even replied to the replies who suggested about the ‘editing button’. He asked them whether they want this editing button for permanent or for 5 minutes after tweeting.
With these talks, it seems that the twitter is really serious about this ‘edit button’ and soon we will get to see such feature.
Apart from the edit button, several other users suggested for a ‘bookmark button’, which also drew the attention of Jack, as he replied to such suggestions by writing “yes, we are thinking about such options”.
Just a few months ago, twitter had announced about the character limit, which is limited to 140 characters.
Earlier, twitter used to count the media attachments in the 140-character limit, but now the media attachments are exempted from the limit.
