Japan issues warning of Tsunami after earthquake of 7.4 magnitude

On Tuesday morning, Japan felt an earthquake of magnitude 7.4 and after this, the Japan’s Meteorology Agency has issued a strong warning of Tsunami around the coastal areas of Fukushima.

The government has appealed to the people living in coastal areas to evacuate the area, as there is strong chance of Tsunami.

According to NHK, there is a strong possibility of waves going higher than 10 feet, and seeing the condition, an emergency has been declared in such areas.

But, till now only 2 feet high waves have been reported.

This was the strongest earthquake, after the 2011 scene which killed more than 18,000 people.

In 2011, the magnitude was believed as 9.4, in which heavy destruction was caused in Nuclear Power Plant, situated in Fukushima and experts are believing that this also, something similar could happen.

Cabinet Chief Secretary, Yoshihide Suga, said that the cooling system of one of the reactors at Nuclear Plant has stopped working, but the good news is, no rise in temperature has been noticed yet and other cooling systems are working very fine.

He added that the government has already made a task force to study the case.

So far, there is no news of destruction or injury but still, a very keen investigation is being carried out, to avoid any misfortunate incident.

Japan has always been earthquake-prone state and in last April, 50 or more people were dead in a minor earthquake.
