Russian Player Cuts her own Hair During WTA final against Agnieszka Radwanska
Russia’s star player, Svetlana Kuznetsova, chopped her hairs off on the court playing against Agnieszka Radwanska during WTA’s final.
Kuznetsova suddenly stopped between the game and asked for a scissor and seconds later, she chopped more than half of her hairs.
She continued the game and won eventually by 7-5 1-6 7-5 after a tough battle.
On the other hand, fans were stunned to see such dramatic incident, however, it later turned out to be something else.
After the match, she in a talk with media persons explained that her hair was repeatedly blocking her sight, which eventually irritated her and she decided to have a solution.
She said “I asked to myself, what is important for me, my hair or game. And seconds later, I decided to chop them off and continue my game.”
Her opponent, Radwanska, also appreciated her for this decision and said “I think she did right. Her hair wasn’t important that the game”.
Fans after knowing the truth praised her on social media for choosing her ‘game’ over her looks.
However, she was not the first player who did something similar on the ground during the match.
During the last session of ATP World Tour Finals, Andy Murray, a Scottish player, did something similar, playing against Rafael Nadal.
Unfortunately, he lost the match.
